Board Nominations

Call for Volunteers 2019

NvHIMA is seeking dedicated and qualified professionals for the 2019-2020 Board of Directors.

This is your opportunity to take your HIM career to the next level as well as share your expertise; to mentor members, network with your peers and develop public speaking skills. As an experienced health information professional, you are an asset to NvHIMA, and you can make a tangible difference in your association and health information profession.

Testimonials from current officers:

Lorraine Brown, MSPH, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P – Treasurer   “Serving as an officer for NvHIMA has been a rewarding experience.  I have been able to grow personally and professionally.  Serving has allowed me to meet wonderful professionals who are supportive of their colleagues and dedicated to the profession.  The networking opportunities are invaluable.  In addition to the networking opportunities and personal/professional growth, the experience that I have gained will benefit me in the future”.

Linda Howard, CCS – Past President and Past Convention Chair   “I would like to encourage all members to seriously consider running for an office with the NvHIMA.  I have been active at the local CSA, NNvHIMA and at the State level.  When you choose to run for an office, you will be able to make a real difference in our profession as Health Information Professionals.  Our profession is changing more now than any time in the last 20 years.  You will be able to assist in shaping your future.

Employers respect the AHIMA/NvHIMA associations and those certified representatives.  When an employer sees your board activity, they will know that you are a respected member among your peers.
