Sundae Yomes, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPMA, CEMC, CGSC, CGIC
Sundae is a Certified Outpatient Coder with Dignity Health. She has been certified and coding outpatient procedures since December 2007. She started as a biller then transitioned into coding and was fortunate to start in Trauma and Surgery, which she fell in love with. Sundae is working on finishing her bachelor’s degree in HIM at WGU and looks forward to achieving her goal of inpatient coding.
Sundae is currently the Director of NvHIMA and the Past-President of SNvHIMA, she enjoys discussing ideas on how to get members excited and engaged in local and state activities.
Stephanie Carlisto, RHIT, CCS
Stephanie is a graduate of the College of Southern Nevada earning her degree in Health Information Technology in 2004. She completed AHIMA’s Train the Trainer Academy and provides education for the local SNvHIMA coding roundtables. She has also presented at the state NvHIMA convention. Stephanie has worked as an inpatient coder, lead coder and coding manager for a 5-hospital system in Las Vegas.
Stephanie has been coding for 15 years and is currently a consultant with Oxford, she is presently working for a large hospital system in California, one which is a cancer hospital. It is very high-level coding of complex procedures. They do multi-organ transplants, general surgery, orthopedic, otolaryngology and oncology. She coordinates with a CDI team and it’s a good working relationship. It has been a great experience.
