Our speaker will walk you through the process of reviewing, documenting and understanding the appeal process. Handouts will include links to CMS, RAC and other resources to keep you informed on any new developments.


Steven C. Biczak, RN

Steven C. Biczak, RN is currently the Manager of Clinical Revenue Integrity for the Renown Health System. He leads his team of CRI nurses in chart review, third party denials resolution and provides expert management of RAC audits for this multifaceted trauma center. He has experience in RAC audit management in both small rural hospital settings as well as large metropolitan hospital complex. He was born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area. After serving 11 years in the military he attended the Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing in Montclair, New Jersey. He has over twenty years’ experience as a Registered Nurse. He has practiced in New Jersey and Nevada in a variety of nursing roles that include medical surgical unit nurse, as charge nurse of medical-surgical, oncology and post-operative units. He established the RAC program at a local Northern Nevada hospital and served as the RN RAC Coordinator there before taking his current position at Renown Health System for the past four years.
