NvHIMA will set the standard for and be the recognized leader in health information practice advocacy in Nevada.
Develops strategies to recruit members and enhance and maintain member engagement.
Assists Board in developing the annual budget and updates financial policy and procedures as needed
Creates a system of accountability, fosters collaboration among local regions and the state, and ensures compliance with applicable laws and AHIMA’s affiliate agreement.
Builds relations between NvHIMA and state and federal legislative offices to advocate for the protection of patient privacy and data security.
Develops up-to-date education specific to medical coding including coding guidline updates, new and revised codes, and complex or unusual medical cases.
Provides education related to the full practice of HIM practice.
Plans the annual membership meeting including coordinating the education sessions with the Education and Coding Roundtable Committees.
Solicits volunteers to serve and conducts election process.
